This is the problem with the idea of creating race-based or ethnicity-based "homelands".  The sad fact of the matter is that both Palestinians and Israeli's are all essentially cousins, but instead of creating an ethnicity/religion-blind utopia between themselves, they've spent the past 60 plus years demonizing and killing each other.

The only solution is a one-state solution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-state_solution), with equal rights regardless of ancestry or religion.  It's far past time for Israel to officially annex Gaza and the West Bank, and grant full and equal citizenship rights to everyone in Greater Israel.
