Blasphemy is protected by the First Amendment.  Some people don't understand that.

You can either be for race-based privilege, or you can be for equality for all – there is no middle ground.  Keli'i Akina is the right person to move OHA towards the ideal of equality.

If you live Hawaii, vote for Keli'i Akina.

Screw that noise.  The future should be filled with people who feel free to slander any religious figure.

Should the future not belong to those who slander the prophets of Christianity?  Should the future not belong to those who slander the prophets of Zeus and Artemis?  Should the future not belong to those who slander the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

If Mohammad was in a cage match with Xenu, he'd go crying home to his mommy because he couldn't handle the trash talk.

Katrina Trinko writes on NRO: From President Obama’s speech at the U.N. today: The future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt – it must be claimed by those in Tahrir Square …

Although the LATimes tries to spin it, the bottom line is that Obama pays his staff less.  While this might be "more bang for the buck" as the LATimes puts it, the bottom line is if you want better paying jobs, you go with Romney.  If you want to believe in redistribution and spread the wealth around, you go with Obama.

WASHINGTON — One of the big challenges Mitt Romney faced after effectively clinching the GOP presidential nomination in late April was ramping up his campaign to match the behemoth operation Pr…

But no spending $70G in Utah denouncing the play "Book of Mormon"?

Stop apologizing for freedom of speech.

The American Embassy in Islamabad, in a bid to tamp down public rage over the anti-Islam film produced in the U.S., is spending $70,000 to air an ad on Pakistani television that features President Oba…

Good for Google, but a sad reflection on the spineless White House.

Obligatory "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" link: https://krischel.org/2010/05/19/everybody-draw-mohammed-day/

Google will leave a controversial video clip about the Islamic prophet Muhammad on YouTube despite a White House request that the company review it under its own policies, the company said Friday. The…

Are you freakin' kidding me?  We've got the Joint Chiefs chairman trying to get some looney to be diplomatic, while our embassies burn?

1) We've got free speech in this country, which means loonies can say offensive things;
2) The Joint Chiefs chariman should be air dropping marines to protect our embassies, not hoping that some sort of apology from a wackadoo is going to make a bunch of firebombing, rioting wackadoos from being violent.

Time for the US to grow a backbone, and defend our right to practice free speech no matter what violent protesters do overseas.

The top U.S. military official has asked a Florida pastor to pull his support of an anti-Islam film that may have played a role in inciting protesters who attacked U.S. diplomatic posts in Libya and E…

Yes, it's a stupid, insipid, disjointed, insulting movie.  It's got D production values, and looks like a set of clipping room floor bits of a monty python sketch.

But if your culture responds to hamfisted amateur youtube insult with violence, frankly, it's time for that culture to change.  The fact that Obama would apologize for this as rioters storm embassies and kill ambassadors is embarrassing.

Obama should've said, "The United States stands for free speech, which means people can say stupid and offensive things.  This isn't always comfortable, but the alternative is unthinkable.  Those responding to offense with violence should be ashamed and condemned by all."
