Galactic-Scale Energy. Posted on 2011-07-12 by tmurphy. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, we have seen an impressive and sustained growth in the scale of energy consumption by human ci…

Okay, so you add someone to a g+ circle via email address, and mess up their name. Now you want to go back and fix it.

And…no way to do that. On top of that, I'm seeing duplicate entries in my circles where I added via email address (one entry that seems to have the email address associated, and one entry that seems to be just the name).

Did I miss some button, or is adding someone via email address a one-shot opportunity?

FWIW, I tried deleting and re-adding, and it keeps associated the email address I'm re-adding with the messed up name, rather than letting me input a new one.

Canon T3i with Tamron SP AF-17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II VC and RODE VideoMic Pro. +20dB on the VideoMic Pro, 1 tick 4 ticks above zero on the camera.

Manual focus, shutter speed 60, F/2.8, ISO whatever it wanted to be. No post-processing on the video, but normalization done on the audio in iMovie.

Finally upgrading the primary macbook pro to Lion, mostly to use iCloud. Things I'm still not happy about:

1) FrontRow is missing (I know, you can trick it, but still, #applefail)

2) Perian & QuickTime X: http://www.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=23700&sid=cca993f3d1f913a67e8ff3ee541fb7bc

3) Perian & Subtitles: http://www.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=23504

4) macports handbrake won't install

5) macports ophcrack +gui won't install

6) Spaceward Ho! 5 won't run (and to add insult to injury, sound doesn't work in VMware Fusion 4 running a Snow Leopard guest)

Text message plans from wireless carriers have always been a bad deal, but iMessage is gonna make it an impossible sell now.

With its latest operating system update, Apple is poised to strike a blow to wireless carriers by making free texting more ubiquitous.
