Student Equity, Excellence, and Diversity Grant Request 2001
Well, they didn’t manage to get to the Morgan Report, apparently because they ran out of money. A pity, since it’s such a critical piece of information regarding annexation and the overthrow…
Finally, the voice of reason.

Anti-annexation petitions – Page 820
Interesting analysis of the oft-referenced anti-annexation Kue petition.
Apparently, it was rife with fraud.
For those who don’t want to download each page individually, here’s a 16mb PDF:

And here’s a slightly less detailed, but still readable 2.9mb PDF (Acrobat 7.0 compatible):

For firefox users, go ahead and put “French Military Victories” in your address bar, and watch what comes up.

Two thousand and five has come to an end
So now is the time to catch up with friends
In January we did both receive
News so good it was quite hard to believe
We were to expect a bundle of joy
Not knowing if it would be girl or boy
The next few months saw Amani so ill
And doctors searched long to find the right pill
As a manager Jere blazed a fine trail
And in his new post is doing quite well
In May our apartment we did vacate
And into our first house did relocate
In June to the giant redwoods we went
About a week with the tall trees we spent
In August Jere’s mom came on to the scene
To help out with baby and fine cuisine
Amani transferred to a brand new school
Where people are nice, the commute not cruel
September brought what we had waited for
A beautiful girl, Tomi we adore
Cameron, eight, is in second grade
He is a good brother and well behaved
And in this manner has our year gone by
So it would seem in the blink of an eye
We send you good thoughts and tidings of cheer
To those who are far and those who are near
We wish you peace, love and joy in the mix
May they come your way in two thousand six.
By Hook or by Rook – Los Angeles Times
Boy, this would’ve made chess club more exciting in high school :).
IVR Cheat Sheet to Fine a Human
Amazing. A list of shortcuts for how to avoid those annoying “Press 1 if blah…Press 2 if blah…”, and get right to a human.
Hope he keeps it updated!
Sharon Creates a Centrist Party – Los Angeles Times
Looks like the tin man has a heart. Let’s hope his bold gambit works!
Sorry Lana, but exposing the ethnic cleansing done of the history of the Hawaiian Kingdom has nothing to do with targeting kanaka maoli. If anything, it’s targeting the haoles out for appropriate recognition of their patriotic acts regarding the always multi-racial and multi-cultural government of Hawaii.
Try again.
How To Write Unmaintainable Code
I’ve seen WAAY too much code exactly like this.
Reminscent of Nuclear War, a thoroughly enjoyable game that took up most of my high school free time.
Also got hooked up with Racer Knights, a pretty neat collectible card/racing game. Kinda like Car Wars meets Shadowrun.
A big mahalo to Tom @ The Last Grenadier Burbank for pointing these games out! I’m not sure if it’s got anything to do with the Last Grenadier in Hawai’i, but it’s a great grognard store:
